Chose the same fabric in two colourways so it has a vice versa reveal when you unroll it. Measure the tools to determine the size of the holder. Making sure the longest tool isn’t sticking out of the roll.

Étape 2.

Cut the outside fabric first then cut the inside fabric to the exact same size as the outside piece. Using the same fabric as the inside of the Hobby Tool Roll, cut another piece the same length as the inside piece, but shorter, this is going to be the pocket.

Étape 3.

Cut a narrow channel of fabric and pressed the edges in using an iron. This will be used as binding for the top of the pocket.

Étape 4.

Pin the binding onto the edge of the pocket at the top and straight stitch it in place, making sure you stitch all layers together. Place your pocket directly on top of the inside fabric piece.

Étape 5.

Start to stitch channels from the top of the pocket to the bottom edge of the Hobby Roll. They can be spaced out to any size you like depending on the size and quantity of the items you’ll keep in it.

Étape 6.

Once the pocket channels are all stitched in place, lay the outside fabric piece over the inside fabric. Right sides of the fabric together.

Étape 7.

Pin both layers together around 3 of the edges ready for stitching. Also cut your cord into 2 lengths so that you can fasten the tool roll. Insert the cord into the end seam and pin in place.

Étape 8.

Stitch around 3 edges using a straight stitch. Turn the roll inside out and press the 3 seams at. Turn in the remaining open edge and hand stitch or machine it closed.
