Using a different shape bowl, complete the same process as the Ikebana, filling the bowl with clay. Then, start to build out the clay from the bowl to make a little ‘scoop’ shape for the plant to sit in.

Keep adding small clumps of clay and blending until you get the shape you want. Don't worry about how rough the finish is, you can easily smooth it out using your finger and water. Make sure to smooth down both the inside and outside, and then create a hole close to the top to hang the wall planter from the wall.

After 12 hours, take the plant hanger out of the bowl mould and remove the cling film, again smoothing out the edges using your finger and water. Soften any sharp ridges but don't worry to much about the imperfections! Then leave them to fully dry out in a dry, warm spot for a couple of days.

To finish them off, brushed white colour to highlight the lumps and bumps even more – but you could use any colour you like! You can still see the stone clay colour which adds to the handmade quality. Sponge on another layer of the same paint colour to add a beautiful textured finish.

To hang them on the wall, used paper raffia ribbon. Tying off a loop knot at the top to hang them from a nail or hook, and a simple knot at the back of the hanger to secure it on the string.

You can hang them in one continuous string, individually or in clusters.
