Remove the legs from the bath. Use the wire brush and coarse sanding discs to clean any rust, loose or flaky enamel from all surfaces of the bath and legs.

Then use a finer sandpaper to smooth the surface of the bath.

Spray the legs in your colour of choice. Once dry, use a piece of fine sandpaper to give a distressed look.

Mask the edges of the bath, making sure that the edge of the bath is covered with plastic (so you don't get any spray paint on the inner surface of the bath).

Turn the bath upside down so you can work on the outside. Use a clean lint-free cloth and the acetone to really clean the bath surface. Make sure it is completely dry before you start spraying.

Work in an area where you can spray and not get overspray on anything important. Spray the outside of the bath. Use a long sweeping motion to spray and build the layers up slowly so you don't get drips or runs. Leave to dry completely.

Turn the bath over to work on the inside. Carefully mask around the rim of the bath. Again, use a lint-free cloth and the acetone to clean the surface. Allow to dry before you start.

Use the two-part renovation paint as instructed. Re-attach the legs.
