Dick and Angel have their entire life's planning, inventions and ideas jotted down in a variety of notebooks and until now they had struggled to find the perfect one! They simply wanted to create a notebook that uses good quality paper, lovely materials and true personalisation. This version of the classic Heron print has an elegant Art Deco feel, beautifully debossed on to the leatherette material of this notebook.

In Japanese culture, the heron represents a noble, graceful appearance and is a sign of purity. It is also known as the bird of happiness. Surrounded by a beautiful moat, The Chateau is the perfect backdrop for such an elegant and symbolic creature. Nouveau Heron combines this elegance and symbolism in a design which encapsulates these qualities to perfection.

We are very lucky to be surrounded by a moat. Not only is it peaceful and full of fish, but every morning a heron perches on a rock and eats our fish. Dorothy has taken a real liking to our adopted heron, often shouting at the top of her voice, the heron... the heron! It often flies off at this point, but we all run to the window to see it in flight!

Our notebooks are A5 in size, printed on a luxurious 150gsm smooth cream paper the 148 pages (74 leaves) are then thread sewn and case bound in the cover of your choice. Each one is then hand finished with a place ribbon, head and tail bands.
