If there's one thing we've learnt from life at The Chateau, it's that beautiful things shouldn't be kept for best!

Whether we're pottering in the Walled Garden, cooking up a storm in the kitchen or getting stuck into our latest creative project, we love things that are not only lovely to look at, but genuinely useful too.

And sometimes the simplest ideas have the loveliest beginnings. Over 15 years ago, Dick's mum gave me a beautiful vintage cape, which became a treasured favourite. The dream of creating something equally elegant, but practical enough for all our outdoor adventures, never quite went away.

Then a chance meeting with the wonderful Stillman family changed everything.

A Meeting of Minds

After Dick bought a waxed cotton poncho from the Jack Stillman website, a conversation began between our two families.

A shared love of practical design and craftsmanship grew into a collaboration celebrating the simple pleasures of everyday life.

Together, we've created three very special pieces inspired by The Chateau. From woodland walks to busy kitchens and creative adventures, each has been designed with a little nostalgia, plenty of practicality and, of course, a touch of Chateau magic!
