Easter Entertaining: The Easter Table

Putting the table together ready for a feast is a ritual we truly savour. There are no hard or fast rules, just enjoy being creative! This theme is inspired by the landscape at the Chateau – foraged branches, mini birds bests, seasonal Muscari flowers, and of course eggs!

What You'll Need:

• a tablecloth or fabric to cover the whole of the table
• 1m of The Chateau Wildflower Garden fabric
• linen tea towels used as placemats
• napkins and garden twine for the cutlery
• branches and twigs
• twig bird nests in two sizes (pack of x6 for £8.97 from Amazon)
• dried moss to fill the nests
• branches and twigs
• quails eggs and feathers to dress the nests

Step 1.

Cover the table with a table cloth to match your theme. Layer a piece of fabric across the top – we have used The Chateau Wildflower Garden fabric to really enhance our natural, spring theme.Use branches and sticks to layer across the table bringing the Wildflower Garden fabric to life. Add a daffodil (or other floral) centrepiece to the table.

Step 2.

It doesn’t have to be central – we placed ours in one of the bends in the branch for a natural look and feel. Fill the mini bird nests with dried moss and feathers around the edges. Nestle a few quail eggs into the nest and place across the table. Grouped together some branches and sticks/twigs in and around the other elements on the table.

Step 3.

Start setting the table with the linen tea towels as placemats. Add your plates and other dinnerware and glassware around the setting. Wrap the cutlery in a napkin using garden twine.

Step 4.

Add your personalised name setting, light your eggshell tealights and viola! You are ready to enjoy your Easter feast.
