The Escape to the Chateau Story
Back in 2015, Dick and Angel stumbled across Chateau de la Motte Husson, a derelict 19th-century fairy tale chateau in the Pays de la Loire with 45-rooms, a moat, orangery, 12 acres, seven outbuildings and huge potential for a new life in France. Their adventures were recorded in Channel 4’s primetime series ‘Escape to the Chateau™’ and watched by millions all over the world!

Inspired by the Walled Garden
In series 5, Dick and Angel transformed the former servant’s quarters - a beautiful room with breathtaking views of the Walled Garden. Dick duly named it The Potagerie Suite, and a design that celebrates the garden began to take shape. For Angel, design is about telling a story, and this one is about love.
The Potagerie Suite
Looking over the Walled Garden, the Potagerie Suite is inspired by nature. A beautifully fresh design, perfect for bringing the outside into your home.

Emerald Fan
Inspired by Angel's love for traditional Japanese kimonos, Emerald Fan transports you to an era of glamour and effortless style. Angel created this design as wallpaper for her parent's new bedroom suite in the Coach House, a touching renovation featured in series 8.
Arthur & Dorothy's Helter Skelter
The helter skelter in Arthur and Dorothy’s playroom was an idea from Angel, which Dick skillfully brought to life just in time for their wedding. Read Dick’s step-by-step guide and try making your own!

Mademoiselle Daisy
Whilst transforming their vintage Asquith van, the Strawbridges joked about their new adventure bus feeling like "Driving Miss Daisy". Along with completely changing the inside of the bus, Angel designed a truly maximalist print. Featuring a stunning cobalt green and striking geometric daisies inspired by Art Nouveau.
