Step 1.

Firstly, clip up the back of your hair with hair grips. Try to get it as flat as you can so that it doesn't create a bump when you put your headscarf on. You can leave your fringe if you want to curl it after you've secured your scarf.

Step 2.

Next get yourself a fairly large square scarf. as patterened or as plain as you like (perhaps get a few, so you have a choice to go with different outfits). Fold the scarf diagonally so you have you a triangle.

Step 3.

With the middle point of the triangle facing towards the front of your head place the folded scarf on your hair holding the other two points of the scarf in either hand

Step 4.

Now tie a knot with the two points of the scarf that you are holding. Position the knot in the middle of the scarf. so it sits neatly on top of the middle point

Step 5.

The middle point can be rolled in with the knot so it is unnoticeable. Ladies like variation, so depending on how big your scarf is you can tie the knot as small or as big as you like.

Step 6.

Once it's knotted, secure it with as many hair grips as you find necessary, usually three or four will hold is perfectly in place. Any hanging bits of scarf can also be hidden away with grips or slipped under the scarf.
