How To Make a Halloween Chandelier Nest

It’s spooky season and the Chateau is getting ready for its annual fright fest. Get your house ready for the scariest night of the year with our selection of Halloween decorating ideas and how-tos.

What you'll need:

• loose vine used for making wreaths
• dried grass or raffia
• twine and scissors
• feather crow birds with wire on feet

Step 1.

Wrap the vine around the brass arms of the chandelier, going over and under to get a layered structure to weave the dried grass onto.

Step 2.

Using garden twine and long dried grass, tie little bundles together before tying each bundle onto the vine. You can also use paper raffia instead of dried grass.

Step 3.

Tie a double knot for each bundle of grass, tying the grass, vine and chandelier arm together to ensure it is securely held in place.

Step 4.

Add the feather crows by tying to the vine structure. Loop the grass bundles around the vine and chandelier arms leaving some strands hanging down for a dramatic effect.
