Everything You Need, Right Where You Need It
Anyone who gardens or crafts knows the routine.
You put the secateurs down. Take three steps. Need the secateurs. Can't remember where you put the secateurs.
Or perhaps it's the scissors, the pencil or that particular paintbrush you were holding only moments ago!
The L'Atelier Work Belt was designed to solve exactly that sort of problem.
Designed collaboratively by Jack Stillman and Dick & Angel Strawbridge, it's a simple, beautifully made way of keeping everything you need close at hand while leaving your hands completely free.
Deep Pockets for Busy Hands
The two generous, divided front pockets are the heart of L'Atelier.
They're designed to hold all those things you constantly reach for secateurs, gardening gloves, string and plant labels outside; scissors, pencils, brushes, tape measures and all those little treasures and tools when you're crafting or making.
Reinforced with brass rivets and protective edging, the pockets are designed to cope with everyday use, while long fabric waist ties make it easy to adjust for a comfortable fit.
At 46cm wide × 41cm long, it gives you useful carrying space without the coverage of a full apron, making it perfect for warmer days in the garden or long afternoons getting creative at the craft table.
Garden. Craft. Create.
This isn't a belt designed for one particular job.
In the Walled Garden, it's the perfect companion for planting, pruning, gathering and tending. In the craft room, it's somewhere to keep all those little essentials that make creating so much easier.
And that's exactly what we love about it.
Life at The Château rarely involves doing just one thing, and whether we're planting something beautiful, making something from scratch or giving something old a new lease of life, having everything to hand makes the whole process that little bit more enjoyable.
Better With Age
Made from hard-working, water-repellent 8oz waxed cotton canvas and finished with leather details, brass rivets and reinforced pocket openings, L'Atelier is intended to acquire character through use.
The fabric will crease, soften and develop its own patina over time, and can be re-waxed whenever it needs a little refresh.
It's not something to keep pristine.
Fill the pockets. Get it dirty. Make something.
And every L'Atelier Work Belt comes with its own limited-edition brass Château pin, depicting Château de la Motte-Husson; a little piece of The Château to go wherever your next project takes you.
