In January 2015, we embarked on the journey of a lifetime by swapping our cosy two-bedroom flat in Southend-on-Sea for a derelict chateau set on 12 acres of land in the Pays de la Loire.
The first book in our series, A Year at the Chateau, captures the beginning of our family's French adventure as we discovered our forever home and began restoring and renovating the dilapidated Chateau.
Living the Chateau Dream details the years of hard work that followed. From throwing open the shutters of new suites to exploring the walled garden, launching our wedding business, and hosting guests for Food Lover's Weekends, we leave no stone unturned. We tackled enormous tasks, such as installing a lift, while also creating lifelong traditions and cherished memories, like investigating the seasonal delights of our surroundings and having a family sleepover by the moat.
This much-anticipated follow-up includes many firsts for our family. As we share stories of the renovations carried out over the next two years at the Chateau, we begin to grasp the true extent of the work and skill required to transform this incredible house into a beloved home.
