Trick or Treat! Dress Your Door with a Spooky Halloween Wreath

A Halloween wreath is the perfect seasonal craft to make with family and friends of all ages. This reusable decoration can be displayed year after year ready to spook trick or treaters.

What you'll need:

• a wreath of your choice
• twine and scissors
• black spray paint
• toy snakes in different sizes
• plastic spiders
• cheesecloth (x1 black and x1 white piece)
• a door hook

Step 1.

Take a plain ready-made wreath held together with twine wrapped around and then tied off in a loop. Wrap the long toy snakes around the wreath first. Tuck the head and tail of each snake under the twine to hold it into position. Add the smaller snakes in and around the bigger ones to add depth.

Step 2.

Once the wreath is filled with snakes, spray it black. To create a backdrop for the wreath, lay the black and white pieces of cheesecloth on top of each other.

Step 3.

Take a simple door hook and hang it central to the door. Use black and white twine to hang the wreath to the hook. Once you have it at the height you want, tie off the twine in a knot at the top.

Step 4.

Add tiny spiders to decorate the cheesecloth to create a spider’s web effect. Scatter the spiders randomly across the fabric so they look like they’re crawling all over the door.
