Dried Leaf Jars

You can’t beat an autumnal walk – the crunching leaves and the beautiful colours of the trees. This is an easy and rustic craft that requires just a couple of recycled jars and some of nature’s free gifts. These jars add a lovely warm glow to any autumn evening gathering.

Top Tips:
Choose leaves with interesting shapes, like acers.
It works nicely if you put the front (or right side) of the leaf against the glass with the back side of the leaf (the wrong side) outermost, especially if it is a waxy leaf like laurel or holly. Revisit the leaves now and then as the glue is drying, to make sure they are flat against the glass.

You Will Need:
• Leaves
• Iron
• Ironing board
• Parchment paper
• Small paintbrushes
• Selection of jars/vases
• PVA glue
• Tea lights
• Jute of cord
