The 'Dare to Do It - at Home' Competitions
We all know the importance to having a project that excites us, it is good for the soul, and gives us something to look forward to. Here at The Chateau, we are busy enjoying family life and having the time to look after ourselves.
We are also taking the time to let our creative juices flow as we know having a project, or two, on the go keeps your grey cells active. With all this in mind we have decided to launch three, ‘Dare to Do It - at Home’, competitions.
Win at night at The Chateau with our Wellbeing Competition!
We know that it's important to look after ourselves, so we’ve been keeping really busy, having great fun with the children, working in our kitchen garden, and cooking lots. We’re making a conscious effort to eat well, keep active and be creative.
The competition is very simple. It’s your journey!
It may be that you've finally mastered your sun salutations by practicing yoga in your living room, or you’ve dug out your paints and easel and got creative with all the extra time at home. Maybe you’ve even challenged yourself to get through those DIY projects you've been meaning to start, that have niggled you for years…
We’re interested in understanding whatever skills you've developed, or transformations you've made to keep yourself well. Tell us what you’ve done and how you’ve ensured your wellbeing, and that of your family, in these difficult times!
Please submit your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org and make sure to add: My Wellbeing Entry to the subject line, along with your full name. Photos are welcome but not compulsory to show what you've been doing.
All submissions will need to be received by the 28th August 2020.
The shortlist will be announced on the 4th September 2020.
Voting on the shortlist on www.thechateau.tv will be open until midnight of 25th September 2020.
The winner will be announced on the 2nd October 2020.
The prize is a night for 2 people at The Chateau, staying in our gorgeous Honeymoon Suite, with dinner hosted and cooked by us! All we ask is that you cover your travel to and from The Chateau.
Update - Brittany Ferries
If you are travelling from England, the lovely people at Brittany Ferries have kindly offered to help out by covering the cost of a return crossing from Portsmouth to St Malo for a car and two passengers, including a cabin. Valid for travel throughout 2021 only.

Become a published author with our Literature Competition
We honestly believe everyone has at least one book inside them. If you are sat on the idea of the next greatest novel, you’ve started writing a book, or have already written one that you're just waiting to be put into print, then this is for you!
The two of us love taking the time out to read (and write!) a good book, and we're lucky enough to have written and released a fair few ourselves. To make the book, The Chateau – Dare To Do It, that included all the many facets of our lives, come to fruition we started our own publishing company ‘The Chateau Publishing’ and it's this great team that will publish our winner.
By Christmas this year, you could be a published author.
All you have to do is send over your manuscripts (don't worry, there will be time for tweaking and editing) and we'll choose our 6 favourites for shortlisting. Then it'll be up to the public to decide the winner. Cookbooks, children's books and a gardener’s journal are already in the works so these won't be considered, but that still leaves masses of scope from Novellas to Encyclopaedias…
