Mother's Day Gifts: Keepsake Floral Cards, Part One

The Flower Meadow Card by The Baby

"An easy and definitely fun craft for little ones - create a pretty flower meadow."

Step 1.

Choose a green and blue card base representing the grass and sky, and pick some vibrant paint colours for the flowers. Of course you can do this in any way you like!

Step 2.

Dip little fingers in every paint colour and pressed them all over the card.

Step 3.

When your flower meadow is full, cut a frame out of A4 card. Glue some braided trim around the edge of the frame to make it look like a fancy old picture frame! You can also add this fun wavy trim around the outer edge of the frame to finish it off.

Step 4.

Then, cut your next strip of lashes shorter than the first so that you create a layered flower head. Snip the next layer exactly the same way you did for the first. Repeat this process in different shades of red and pink so that you build a textured and dynamic flower. Keep adding layers of lashes until the double-sided sticky tape circle is almost full!

Don’t forget, you can also join the Escape to The Chateau Fan Club on Facebook and join a community of like-minded creative people who love to share their craft and DIY projects. So, if you’ve recently completed a project that you’re proud of, be sure to share it on there…we’d all love to see it!
