The Story

Moonlight casts a beautiful light around The Chateau, the folly, and the mysterious bamboo forest. Together with the silver-winged heron, an enchanted landscape emerges as the sun sets and the moon rises. This tranquil, peaceful setting is captured perfectly in the Bamboo Folly design.

In series nine of Escape to the Chateau, Dick and Angel discover a 19th-century folly hidden beneath the ivy in the Walled Garden and decide to bring it back to life.

“The bamboo forest and the heron are so representative of The Chateau's landscape, I felt they had to come together in a design which reflects elements of earth, air and water, which surround our home. The heron is the Japanese symbol of good fortune, so what better focal point for a design that expresses the wonders of nature.”
